The Reef Seeders like to live in the quite of their little villages
it is difficult describe their village are always tuned with the surrounding, changing according to with the weather, the colour of the vegetations and the mood of the habitants..
but now the sun is exploding and is time to go , to migrate.
Each Dome has to be guided to a new land...just the time for a last stop , a last farewell from a safer distance to the exploding sun... ,
and after a long travel finally a new promising shore to land...
Wow, how do you do this? Do you photomanipulate a 3D render or you do the render itself? This is the 1st time I see something like this in DA and I am intrigued. I searched your references but didnt figure out how you did this.
Hy welcome , i am not surprised that you never see something similar before, not that i am the only or the first to have tried similar experiments but not with mu perseverance Basically i did use a free and very cool 3D fractal program , mandelbulb3d (you may download from the download section of www.fractalforums.com ) to create the BG, the same program allow to insert any image as BG of the 3D fractal,( that give much better results then "cut" the BG and replace with another ) and give a amazing control on lights shadow colors...even transparency and fog
and my bet was, and remain that may be used as here to create 3D scenery for the most different uses (cartoon-like of this i will post a few shortly, fantasy, sci-fi even horror..) ..i believe even in production work because may be animated
Of couse not as replacement of 3D program, it has weird limits and quirks that traditional 3D programs don't have , but may do quickly what will took days of team work , and even something that will be almost impossible
Ok that for the BG, then in this case the 3dposer render i used were really tiny, but important to give the sense and a feeling of the proportion
To merge the BG with the renders i used GIMP and in particolar the gmic plugin
Thanks for answering I didnt know that you were the only one who dared to make such a new kind of art, congratulations!! I am not familiar with the term "BG" Where are you from, by the way? I've finded your English a bit uncommon ^^
